Filing and paying your GST return

When you are a client of On-Core Bookkeeping, we will usually do your GST return electronically before the deadlines on your behalf.

You also must pay it by the deadline date we have given to you.  To pay it, you have several options:

 

1.  Pay it at the bank.  To pay at the bank, yo must have the original GST payment paperwork.  We might have a copy of this in our office for you, but only if CRA has mailed it out.  Please call ahead and have us check if we have a copy in our files.

2.  Mail in a cheque.  Please make sure you quote your GST number on the cheque.

3.  Pay it though "My Payment", on the CRA website.  Note that you must have an account with only certain banks in order to participate in this option.

4.  Wait for your Notice of Assessment to come in the mail. Attached to it will be a GST return form, that you can either take to the bank or mail in.  Note that this form will usually come out after the payment deadline, meaning you might have some interest owing.
